Meet The Nigerian Police Officers Awaiting Execution For Killing Innocent People

Nothing is more depressing in life that being on a death row. You are like a lifeless human living a life without purpose, every day is exactly like the last and the next. Waiting for the day you take your last breath.

In March 2017, two Nigerian Police officers, Ezekiel Achejene and Emmanuel Baba were sentenced to death by hanging for murdering two of the Apo- six Igbo traders who were shot dead in 2005.

The police claimed that the Igbo traders were armed robbers that had opened fire first on the officers when accosted at the checkpoint.

(The 406 peoguet of the Igbo traders shattered by bullets)

A judicial panel of inquiry set up by former President Olusegun Obasanjo found the police account to be false. Six officers were trialed for extra-judicial killings but only two, Ezekiel Acheneje, Baba Emmanuel were sentenced to death.

On the 3rd of November 2020, the Federal government disbursed the sum of N135 million to the families and relatives of the victims of the unfortunate incident. But I believe no amount of money can erase such pain.

Today, the two policemen, Ezekiel Achejene and Emmanuel Baba are currently behind bars. They are hopelessly awaiting their turn in the execution room. Until that day comes, perpetual misery and regrets is the condition in their lives.

Insurgency’ll soon end in Nigeria —Adeboye

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Friday, expressed optimism that insurgency would soon come to an end in Nigeria.

He spoke at the virtual February 2021 Holy Ghost Service of the church with the theme, ‘God Bless You (2)’.

He said “I don’t know the kind of crisis you have because if anybody had a crisis, Job had one. Physically, he had a crisis. Materially, he had a crisis. Maritally, he had a crisis, even the wife said curse God and die. And when it comes to his friends, everyone of his friends tried to put a blame on him –this problem can only come on you because you must have sinned against God because you have some secret things that God is trying to punish but all these crises ended in one day.

“That gives me hope for my nation Nigeria because terrorism has a beginning and if anything has a beginning, it must have an end.

“For example, in 1 Samuel 17:1-51, the Bible tells us that Goliath terrorised the nation of Israel for 40 days but one day the terror that started with one man ended when the man lost his head.

“So, with all confidence, I can say that sooner than later, terrorism will be forgotten in Nigeria and in all other nations of the world where there are terrorists, I want you to have hope because this thing did not start at the very beginning of the nations. It had a beginning, so, it must have an ending.”

According to him, every force laying siege on Nigeria would be ousted.

Pastor who accused Apostle Suleman of sleeping with his wife releases evidence of conversation with OFM founder

A former pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries International, Mike Davids, has released audio evidence on how the founder of the church, Apostle Johnson Suleman, allegedly threatened to “make him disappear.”

The audio excerpt which is currently marking the rounds on social media was on the alleged conversation between Apostle Suleman and Davids shortly after the former OFM pastor accused his mentor of sleeping with his wife.

In the audio clip which was sent to the Nigeria Police Force as part of a petition against Apostle Suleman, a voice purported to be that of OFM General Overseer was heard threatening to make Davids disappear.

The voice said: “I avoided you because of the way you talk but it is clear to me that you are possessed with a demon. The same thing that made me avoid you, you keep repeating them. You will die prematurely. God will punish you. Whatever you are looking for in this life, you will not get it.

“I stepped aside to make this call. You will die an untimely death. From the day I noticed you don’t know how to talk, I stopped talking to you. It is like you didn’t notice. I was free, I was chatting from the day I noticed your mind; you don’t know how to talk.

“When I noticed it because I am very temperamental; my temper is not good. That is why I am telling you tonight. I will make you disappear.”

When asked to explain what he meant by making him to “disappear,” the voice responded by saying “You are a bastard. Get off my phone”.

The call ended thereafter.

This came a few days after Pastor Davids filed a N20 billion lawsuit against Apostle Suleman for unlawfully interfering in his marriage.

Woman jailed for 10 years for gang-defiling neighbour’s daughter

A 27-year-old Kibera woman convicted of aiding the defilement of her former neighbour’s 11-year-old daughter after promising her a trip to Kitengela has been jailed for 10 years.

Kibera chief magistrate Joyce Gandani  found Juliana Rehema guilty of conspiracy to defile and gang-defilement.

Rehema will serve three years for the conspiracy offence and seven years for the gang-defilement. Both terms will run concurrently.

She committed the offences on May 19, 2019, in Kibera after she lured the minor into her house, intending to have her defiled by her (Rehema’s) boyfriend, who escaped to Uganda and has never been found.

She committed the offence in Silanga village in Kibera, Nairobi, after administering a substance on the minor that left her unconscious for six hours.

The girl conceived from the act, according to the judgment.

Common intention

Charges against Rehema read that “on May 19, 2019, having a common intention to (defile) the child, was in company of another who defiled the minor, contrary to section 10 of the Sexual Offences Act of 2006”

Rehema had, a day earlier, met the child, who was on her way home from school, and invited her to her house.

The girl told the court that Rehema told her that she would take her to “Dreams” in Kitengela. The judgment did not reveal what “Dreams” is.
She sought her mother’s permission without telling her that she was to visit Rehema. They had agreed with Rehema that she would go at 9am and return at 2pm.

However, the victim arrived at the convict’s house at 2pm on the fateful day where she found her with a man who was a stranger to her.

The woman served the girl tea. She was hesitant about taking the tea but Rehema pleaded with her, and she agreed.

At that point, Rehema told her she must have sexual intercourse with the man and threatened to kill her if she told anyone thereafter.

Half naked

The girl blacked out during the argument, while sitting on a chair and regained consciousness at 8pm, half naked on Rehema’s bed. The man was missing.

The victim returned home around 9pm and her mother asked her why she was late. She said she had just returned from a school trip.

The girl’s mother told the court during Rehema’s trial that she went to her daughter’s school the following day to ask about the trip, and was told there was none.

The victim only told the truth after she was punished by a teacher during questioning.

She was taken to a hospital where she was examined and found to have been defiled.

Rehema was arrested after police concluded investigations. The victim’s mother told the court that she had seen Rehema talking to her daughter the day before the crime occurred, but did not bother to find out what they were talking about.

The magistrate said although she considered Rehema’s plea for mitigation, she also considered that the minor conceived during her molestation.

Lady shares lovely story of how her Literature Teacher in secondary school became her husband

How does it feel for someone whom you once addressed as “Sir”is now addressed as “Baby” or any other sweet name by you? How will it also feel for some who once addressed you as “Sir” or “Uncle” is now the first person you see in the morning, and the last you see at night?

Well, you may not be able to give satisfactory answers to any of the aforementioned questions until you are in such situation. If anyone would be able to tell how it feels like, it would be the people this content is about.

Truly, love is such an amazing and beautiful thing. It bridges gaps, being it social, tribal, religious, financial etc. As a matter of fact, it is one of the most powerful forces (if not the most powerful) in the universe. It does not hold on to differences if it is genuinely given and received.

A lady who is called QueenMother Ruth Valentine Inuaeyen shared her love story on Facebook in a group called Rant HQ. She disclosed her story on the account of a “Challenge” called “Then Versus Now”. In order to be a part of it, she seized the opportunity to upload the picture of her and the husband.

According to her, a man who was once her Literature Teacher ended up becoming her husband. She also disclosed that, they got married in 2006.

Come to think of it. What is it with male teachers and their female students? I am as guilty as charged. I once got attracted to one of my students in the past. I also know of a friend who once dated one of his extra moral lessons students. Lolz!

Lagos State Police Command has arrested a 40-year-old man, Tunji Adeniran, for allegedly drugging and defiling his two stepdaughters, Ope and Ola (pseudonyms), aged 10 and 14 respectively.

The official said, “The result of defilement will be out soon. It was discovered that they have been infected and they were given drugs. According to the girls’ mother, her older daughter had once reported to her that the suspect was having sex with her. She said she also reported her husband to his family but he denied it.

“The woman however said she was not aware her husband was molesting her second daughter. The older girl said the man had been sexually harassing her for about four years. When the woman was further interrogated, she said she was tired of the marriage because the suspect demands sex every day and she could not cope with him anymore.’’

When contacted, the spokesperson for the police in the state, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed Adeniran’s arrest, adding that he would be taken to court on Monday.

“Yes, we have the case and the suspect is with us. The Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has stepped up mechanisms to reduce rape, sexual harassment, gender and domestic violence to the barest minimum in the state. These offences are inhuman and we condemn them in totality,” he said.

You Will Not Believe That This Beautiful Lady Used To Be A Boy

The phrase transgender is a gender distinctive that revolves based on the precise gender they are born with. The world brings mixed opportunities for constructing self-esteem So many people go as far as changing their gender to the gender of their choice.

A large number of them do so with their permission, while some parents do so without the approval of the child and are likely to open themselves up to the child as an adult.

It has come to my notice that the transition from a man to a woman is the most common, but the transition from a woman to a man is not very popular, is it that to be a man isn’t easy or they just want to try out new bod? It’s funny and confusing at a time.

Mehgan Margiela is a transgender woman from Chicago who always storm social media to disclose her beautiful pictures and proud she is because of her recent look.

Her audacity whenever she publishes her photos is what prompted me to post about her, she feels free like any other human on earth and doesn’t care what other people have to say about her new body transformation.

Her new look is very beautiful, undoubtedly she was as good as a boy, but she decides to change her sex which I think she prefers.

A lot of people push her timeline into dragging her around for changing her exact gender, but she doesn’t care about what they say about her.

I don’t concur on how people go to her profile to insult her because of what she does, I believe she is grown enough to know what’s good from what’s bad, her family is okay with it so who are you to insult her over the way she chooses to live her life.

Let her live it on how she wants it, everyone should live their lives the way they want it.

US Song writer Jim Weatherly has died.

US country singer-songwriter Jim Weatherly, best known for writing 1970s hit Midnight Train to Georgia, has died aged 77, his family say.

Weatherly passed away at his home near Nashville, Tennessee, on Wednesday.

Music publisher and friend Charlie Monk said the family attributed his death to natural causes, the Tennessean website reports.

Weatherly released nearly a dozen studio albums during his five-decade career.

In his student years, the singer was a gifted quarterback for the University of Mississippi’s American football team.

But later in the 1960s he decided to leave sport and focus on music in Los Angeles.

Midnight Train to Georgia – a number one hit for Gladys Knight & the Pips in 1973 – went on to win a Grammy Award, and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999.

A number of American artists, including Aretha Franklin, later recorded their own versions of the popular song.

Weatherly’s biggest solo success was I’ll Still Love You, but he also penned more Gladys Knight hits, including Neither One of Us Wants to Be the First to Say Goodbye, and You’re the Best Thing (That Ever Happened to Me).

He recorded with a range of high-profile stars, including Neil Diamond, Kenny Rogers, Garth Brooks and Kenny Chesney.

“I’m missing him already,” Gladys Knight told the Jackson Clarion Ledger. “I love him and always will. He was about life and love and he wrote it so simply, he grew my love for country music. When we were with him it was like we’d always been together, we fit together. He started playing his guitar, and I started humming and it was magic.

“His music propelled us to a whole different level. I loved him and his music, he was a sweetheart and so gentle.”

I AM NOT GAINING FROM YOU”- TRUMP SAYS TO SCREEN ACTOR’S GUILD

Donald Trump has quit America’s Screen Actors Guild after it launched a disciplinary hearing into him, citing the US Capitol attack.

“Who cares!” the former US president wrote in a letter, adding that the union had “done nothing for me”.

“Thank you,” was the Guild’s brief response.

Mr Trump has appeared in a number of films, including Home Alone 2 and Zoolander. He also hosted the US version of The Apprentice TV show.

Last month, the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) said its disciplinary committee would meet to decide what action should be taken regarding Mr Trump’s role in the Capitol riot in Washington DC on 6 January.

Five people died and dozens were injured during the pro-Trump siege.

“Donald Trump attacked the values that this union holds most sacred – democracy, truth, respect for our fellow Americans of all races and faiths, and the sanctity of the free press,” said SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris.

“There’s a straight line from his wanton disregard for the truth to the attacks on journalists perpetrated by his followers,” she said.

SAG-AFTRA represents about 160,000 actors, journalists and other media professionals in the US.

Mr Trump, a Guild member for more than 30 years, was expected to be expelled at a forthcoming disciplinary meeting.

The union shared his resignation letter, which was addressed to its president, a former star of Beverly Hills, 90210, on its website.

“I write to you today regarding the so-called Disciplinary Committee hearing aimed at revoking my union membership. Who cares!” Mr Trump wrote.

“While I’m not familiar with your work, I’m very proud of my work on movies such as Home Alone 2, Zoolander and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps; and television shows including The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, Saturday Night Live, and of course, one of the most successful shows in television history, The Apprentice – to name just a few!”

Mr Trump added that he had “greatly helped” the cable news business, which he described as a “dying platform with not much time left” before he took to politics. He then branded the disciplinary action a “blatant attempt at free media attention to distract from your dismal record”.

On 13 January, Mr Trump became the first president in US history to be impeached twice, after the US House of Representatives accused him of encouraging violence with false claims of election fraud.
