A family in Kirinyaga county is in tears after their son left home without informing them. It has been twelve years since he left and they have never set their eyes on him.
According to the father, his son would complain while studying and despite all the complains he always encouraged his son to continue with education and he always took him to a school of his choice.
The father claims his son by the name kinuthia tried to run away from home but he managed to stop him and they returned back home where he later went back to Nairobi and joined a university.
The last time his mother set her eyes on him was when she escorted him to the bus station and booked a bus for him since he was going back to Kampala where he had been schooling.
The father claims, Kinuthia left home in Kampala since they had been living with his son and thought he had gone to school but when he went to his bedroom, Kinuthia had left a note claiming that he was gone and no one should bother looking for him.
His parents have been in all places looking for him but they have never been successful to find him but they are hopeful that their son is still alive and he will one day return back home.
Kinuthia’s parents claims they already forgave him and they love him soo much and he should return back home to wipe their tears since they have not been in peace since he left home.

During their rag day, a particular student stood out of others as he literally took his own ragging to a different level that made people find it hard to tell if he is a mad man or just a costume.
The costume looks so convincing on him that it resulted into argument between many people and some still can’t believe that he is not mad but, in case you have been involved in such argument or convinced otherwise, the truth you should know is that the young man is sound and healthy. The Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has secured the conviction of Temitope Oluwasanmi and Augustine Olayinka before Justice Mojisola Dada of a Special Offences Court, Lagos State High Court, Ikeja.
The convicts were arraigned in December 2017 on a six-count charge bordering on conspiracy, stealing and fraudulent diversion of funds to the tune of N116 million (One Hundred and Sixteen Million Naira) to which they pleaded “not guilty” prompting commencement of trial.
According to a statement made available to Ripples Nigeria by Wilson Uwujaren, head, media and publicity of EFCC, Oluwasanmi, an employee of Union Bank of Nigeria (UBN) Plc, who was arrested by operatives of the EFCC in October 2017, following a petition from the bank was alleged to have diverted the N116 million to the accounts of three friends: Augustine Olayinka, Oginni Opeyemi and Ogbaro Oluwaseyi. Opeyemi and Oluwaseyi remained at large.
In the course of the trial, prosecuting counsel, Bilikisu Bala Buhari, called three witnesses and tendered several documents to prove the case against them.
Delivering judgement on Friday, March 5, 2021, Justice Dada found the first and second defendants guilty of count one bordering on conspiracy, and sentenced them to three years imprisonment.
The first defendant was further convicted of counts two, three and four and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment.
He was also found guilty of count six bordering on retention of criminal proceeds and sentenced to three years imprisonment, while the second defendant was found guilty of count five bordering on fraudulent false accounting and sentenced to seven years imprisonment.

A teenage girl, (names withheld), on Friday narrated to an Akure High Court how her classmate lured her to her uncle’s house who struggled to remove her pants and had his way with her.
She and two others were victims of the suspect who the police hauled before Justice Olutoyin Akeredolu.
The suspect has allegdly been sleeping with his niece for a long time and succeeded in convincing her to bring over her friends so he could do same.
Prosecution witness told the court that he often gave the girls N100 after sleeping with them.
The bubble burst when the girls started fighting over the money he gave one of them.
The matter was reported to school authorities and on investigation, facts emerged.
One of the victims in a written statement narrated how the suspect forced himself on her, pulled off her pants, slept with her and after “something like water came out which he used red cloth to clean up”, gave her N100 and warned her not to tell her parents or she will die.
Reacting, the suspect denied forcing himself on the girls, stating that they consented.
However, the court held that the prosecution proved beyond reasonable doubt that he forced himself on them and the trial judge found him guilty as charged and sentenced him to life imprisonment.

I saw a family where there was a disagreement, and the woman decided to pack her things and leave her husband’s house with their children. They (children) returned after a long time to look for their father, leaving behind any grudges they had against him. Though this is just an example of what a blood bond can do.

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that popular socialite, and nightlife aficionado, Pretty Mike is still being detained.
Ripples Nigeria had reported on Thursday that Pretty Mike was arrested for his affiliation with Cubana Club that was closed down on Saturday, February 27 for failing to abide by COVID-19 guidelines.
The Instagram influencer, Pretty Mike is currently being held at the Lagos state taskforce office as he is yet to meet his bail condition.
Pretty Mike, who is said to have a stake in the club, went to the Bar Beach police station to see the police over the arrest of the clubgoers and workers. He was immediately arrested as well.
Ripples Nigeria gathered during the early morning of Friday, March 5 that Pretty Mike is still in police custody.
The spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, Muyiwa Adejobi, said Pretty Mike was charged to the Mobile court in Oshodi on Thirsday and is yet to meet his bail conditions which include N1 million, a traditional ruler who would stand as a surety, as well as someone who owns a landed property.

A RUSSIAN bodybuilder dubbed ‘Popeye’ has undergone life-saving surgery to remove rotting flesh from his arms after he injected them with oil.
Kirill Tereshin, 24, faced his second round of surgery to clear his clogged-up triceps, removing the dead muscle and draining his arms of excess fluid caused by the substance.
Doctors warned Tereshin he risked losing the use of his arms after he injected himself with Synthol oil to create cartoonish, bulging muscles, and shared the footage with his 350,000 Instagram followers.
The former soldier admitted his health woes were “due to my own stupidity” after he started bulking up his arms at age 20.
Tereshin, from the city of Pyatigorsk in the Russian region of Stavropol Krai, had the corrective surgery delayed by nearly a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“I’m only 24, and my immune system is so far coping with this inflammation, but I really do not know what will happen next,” he said.
“That is why I started the surgeries to get rid of this nightmare.”
Tubes drained a build-up of fluid from Tereshin’s arms after doctors removed masses of dead muscle that has been poisoned by his bootleg bulking method.
He will face further operations to extract the substance and the dead muscle that formed during his quest to achieve beach-ball-like biceps.
He said he was “very lucky” that there were doctors willing to treat him, after surgeon Dmitry Melnikov told Tereshin he could die if his arms were not operated on.
The hardest surgery will be on my biceps… the nerve responsible for the arms’ sensitivity is inside.
God forbid if something happens to this nerve and I cannot move my arm.
I really worry about this. I am very afraid. I should have thought about this earlier, I know. I blame myself, I know I’m guilty.”
Melnikov, from Sechenov Moscow State Medical University, said, “Kirill injected about three litres into each arm. It saturated the muscle tissues, blocked blood flow.
“”All that has to be removed, but we need to keep the vein, nerves and other functions of the limb.”
The former soldier gained his nickname, Popeye, after he went down a dangerous DIY route to bulk-up his triceps and biceps.
Synthol injections expand muscle tissue and are popular amongst bodybuilders due to its almost immediate results.
As well as the dangers involved with injecting, the substance can cause irreversible muscle damage and potentially life-threatening complications.
Despite the clear risks, the substance is widely available online and relatively easy to purchase.
Synthol takes hold of muscle tissue and hardens them – leaving muscles larger, but damaged and weaker.
Tereshin previously omitted he had began trying the oil after he was called up for military service. “In the army, I was worried that I would have a hard time and lose weight so I decided to try Synthol oil,” he said.
“In the beginning, I wanted to inject synthol oil into other parts of my body, but then the problems started and I stopped using it.”
The synthol injections reportedly caused tissue fibrosis followed by necrosis, seriously affecting his health, and doctors told him he was at risk of amputation.
He previously underwent surgery in November 2019 to remove his ludicrous implants, which “did 25 per cent of the repairs” after he injected his arms with petroleum jelly.
Fortunately for the young Russian, he was able to have much of his rotting muscle and tissue removed in a series of ongoing ops.
“Guys, this is what my arm looks like. Two cuts, one scar has healed, this one has remained. I’m undergoing treatment, everything will be fine soon,” he said optimistically after his surgery.
He was persuaded to undergo urgent treatment by Alana Mamaeva, 32, a leading campaigner for victims of botched plastic surgery.
After his first round of surgery in 2019, Popeye explained he was already feeling much better after initially using the use of his arms.
The 24-year-old now hopes his latest treatment will halt any further health issues before he is back on the surgeons table later this year.
Edo civil society group, Talakawa’s Parliament (TP), has enrolled two young orphans in school and provided an accomodation for them.
Human rights advocate and Speaker of TP, Kola Edokpayi, who confirmed this on Thursday March 4, said the girls, Princess and Faith, were allegedly abandoned by their relatives after the brutal murder of their parents, only brother and 2-year-old niece in 2019.
It was gathered that unknown gunmen killed their family members because their father allegedly refused to give his land to the Community Development Association in the village.
The incident happened at their residence in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State. Princess and Faith, who were in the room when the gunmen opened fire narrowly escaped death.
According to Edokpayi, the girls are doing well accademically post their trauamatic experience.
“These two little orphans (Faith and Princess ) Father, Mother, only Brother and 2 years old niece were murdered in cold blood at their residence at Iguovbiobo Community, Uhumwonde Local Government Area of Edo State on the 6th day of January, 2019 by unknown gunmen. They were allegedly abandoned by their father’s family,” he said.
“We took them from the street to school and rented a befitting apartment for them. I am extremely ecstatic that they are performing excellently well academically and other wise. We have some many orphans in our scheme that we pay their tuition fees because we believe that education is a veritable weapon for the emancipation of man from mental and physical slavery
It is better to invest in people like Princess and Faith than to spend your hard earned money on nincompoops that never see anything from your end. Let’s remove the children and destitute from the streets so that they can be responsible tomorrow.”

Armed men yesterday killed a 20-year-old housewife, Mary Ali, in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State. Ali, who hailed from Usha in Agatu Local Government Area of the state, recently completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). A witness, who pleaded anonymity, said “Mary was gruesomely murdered this morning while on her way to her shop where she was selling food at Ochito-Gana area of Otukpo”.
The New Telegraph learnt that the lady got married a few weeks ago shortly after her mandatory NYSC programme. The reason for her murder was still unknown at press time. The Chairman of Agatu Local Government Area, Hon. Adoyi Suleiman, has condemned Ali’s murder, which he described as babarric, unwarranted and uncalled for. Suleiman, who spoke on the phone after a discussion with his Otukpo counterpart, said the matter had since been reported to the police. The chairman said he gave the security men 24 hours to bring the perpetrators of the dastardly act to book to serve as a deterrent to others.
He said: “Security of lives and property is our priority. As far as we are at the helm of affairs at the local government level, our administration will not tolerate any form of criminality. The life of every Agatu person, like any other Nigerian, matters.” Suleiman urged the family of the deceased and the good people of Agatu to remain calm as security agencies had been briefed and those behind the act would be arrested and prosecuted.
