However, an medical autopsy carried out has revealed the lady died of strangulation. This was said to lead to lack of oxygen supply to her body. The autopsy also revealed that her private part was mutilated.
At the ongoing National Human Rights Commission’s Judical panel of inquiry into Police brutality in Abuja, Dr. B.A Abimiku, a postmortem specialist provided the findings of the autopsy on the late Miss Ifeoma.

The doctors,who confirmed that he has been a pathologist since 1994, also confirmed that they found some dead sperm deposits in the private part of the lady, indicating that there must have been some sexual activity.
