Four truck drivers who were abducted by gunmen in Kwara State have regained freedom. Spokesperson of the state police command, Ajayi Okasanmi confirmed their release on Thursday, January 19.
Okasanmi also said they are yet to make any other arrest asides the two made earlier.
He told Daily Trust;
“Yes, they have been released but I cannot give you further details now except I get to the office because I am on transit coming from Patigi Local Government Area and the network is poor.
“But we are yet to make additional arrests from the two we already made and they are still under investigation.”
A family member who preferred anonymity told the publication that the truck drivers were released after they paid an undisclosed sum as ransom.
